Calls for projects

Boost’ISSPAM - Support for structuring projects with incubator potential

ISSPAM aims to promote scientific exchanges and encourage the emergence of new collaborative projects. More specifically, it aims to develop structuring programmes that act as incubators for ambitious projects. The “Boost’ISSPAM” call for projects is part of this specific objective. Its purpose is to enable innovative, structuring and collaborative research or training projects to be carried out within the institute, with strong potential for incubating new projects.

For information, the amount allocated by ISSPAM is a maximum of €80,000 over a maximum period of 24 months.

Inward or outward mobility

These mobility grants are intended either to support the temporary hosting of a foreign junior or senior researcher or teacher in one of the ISSPAM teams, or to support the temporary mobility of an ISSPAM junior or senior researcher or teacher in an academic or non-academic institution (university, private institution, association, socio-cultural institution, etc.) abroad.

The aim of this call for projects for ISSPAM is to encourage the structuring of international partnerships and develop its visibility and attractiveness.

Two sessions are organised during the year. By way of indication, the maximum amount allocated by ISSPAM is €2,000, to cover travel, accommodation, meal and incidental expenses up to the maximum per diem.

Co-funding of postdoctoral contracts

This call for proposals aims to support postdoctoral research contracts for young graduates in public health sciences.

The aim of the grant is to enable a postdoctoral student to join one of the ISSPAM teams from October for a period of 12 months. The grant will contribute up to 50% of the co-funding for the postdoctoral student, as part of a project co-developed with a partner who will also provide at least 50% of the co-funding.

ISSPAM’s objective is to formalise and structure institutional collaborations with certain academic, socio-economic, associative, cultural and civil society players.

Grants to go to a thematic school

This mobility grant is intended to support PhD students whose thesis (co)supervisor is a member of ISSPAM, to take part in a thematic school or give an oral presentation at a scientific conference in France or abroad.

The aim of this call for projects is to enable doctoral students to benefit not only from additional training but also from an experience of openness.

Two sessions are organised during the year. By way of indication, the maximum amount awarded by ISSPAM is €1,000, mainly to cover registration fees, travel and accommodation.

Organisation of scientific events and scientific culture

As part of its mission to disseminate and transfer knowledge and skills in the public health sciences within the scientific community and to the general public, ISSPAM proposes to co-fund the organisation of scientific events and scientific culture (symposia, specialised schools, debates, initiatives aimed at patients’ associations, the socio-cultural world or the general public, etc.) on public health science topics.

The aim of this call for projects is to have a structuring effect on the site and to develop its visibility and attractiveness.

Two sessions are organised during the year. For information, the maximum amount awarded by ISSPAM is €1,500.

I'm coordinator of the RAMRES project, an awardee of the Institute's AAP AMORÇAGE. This project addresses issues of discrimination in healthcare, and more specifically what we call medical racism, an emerging research topic within our unit. Thanks to the support of ISSPAM, we were able to create a network of researchers and professionals in the field during a study day dedicated to these issues. It also enabled us to respond to a national call for proposals and to propose a thesis topic. In addition, ISSPAM facilitated the development of collabo [...]
